Android G1 Cheaper, Better Than iPhone 3GS

12 Jun
2009

The clever folks over at BillShrink have put together a rather interesting chart detailing the overall features and costs of owning either an Android G1, an iPhone 3GS or the Palm Pre. Want to know how this clash of smartphone titans worked out?

It goes like this, the iPhone clocks in at the most expensive altogether – being an Apple product, this should come as no surprise to any one.

Our beloved Android G1 smashes the iPhone price by several hundred dollars, and still manages to kick it around feature-wise. Fairly amazing for a comparision of an incredibly new product, with one that’s been around for a little while now – I mean, it’s not even a Magic.

Finally, the Palm Pre wins out in a big way in the price war, but suffers a bit in the feature department. Still, that’s not to say it’s a terrible phone by any means.

Personally, I think that a sound middle pricing and better than average feature list puts the Android phones in the lead in terms of being a better investment, but I do run a site called DroidSpy.
